Twofold Therapy is a NYC psychoanalytic practice led by Katie Collins, offering collaborative care for adults and couples.

Services include individual psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, couples therapy, and consultations for dissociation.
Intake begins with a consultation designed to understand what is happening now, what has helped or hindered in the past, and what changes feel most important at this stage of life. This initial meeting is a chance to slow down, clarify goals, and get a sense of whether the fit feels right. Together, we look closely at the concerns bringing someone in — whether that’s anxiety, relational tension, creative stagnation, a period of transition, or a broader wish for self-understanding — and begin to consider what forms of support might be most useful. We also talk through the client’s hopes, questions, and any apprehensions about starting therapy, so that the process feels collaborative from the very beginning.

Evaluation and care for depersonalization, derealization, and dissociative symptoms. Emphasis on stabilization, grounding skills, and paced, trauma-informed work.
